Founder, PlopIt

I'm Nitin, an engineer who's spent the last several years working on AI systems. PlopIt started from a frustration that the right shopping tool didn't exist yet: not another mood-board app, not yet another retailer-specific AR experience, but one that composes a real product image into a photo of your real room, at correct scale, lighting, and perspective. Photo composition AI is genuinely solved now; the gap was just product. So I built it.

Why PlopIt exists

Buying anything large online has a built-in problem: the listing photo is shot in a studio against a neutral backdrop, and your room is neither. Sofas read smaller. Rugs read darker. Mirrors look weirdly proportioned against your actual wall. The mismatch is real, and it's why furniture, rugs, and large decor have some of the highest return rates in e-commerce.

PlopIt is the missing link between the product page and your room. It composes a real product image into a photo of your real room, at correct scale, lighting, and perspective. Not a render, not an artist's impression. Your actual space, with the actual product, before you click buy.

It works for any product where the listing has a usable main image: furniture, rugs, mirrors, lamps, art, plants, decor, even smaller items like a phone case or a pet collar. Free to try, no signup.

What you can do here

Get in touch

Questions, partnership ideas, press, or someone who just wants to talk about why their sofa came in three weeks late and the wrong colour. All welcome.

A note on accuracy + safety

PlopIt composes images using advanced AI. The output is a believable preview, but it is not a substitute for a tape measure on doorway clearance, a fabric swatch for texture, or a final inspection at delivery. Use the preview for the visual fit decision, pair it with measurement and review reading for everything else. Uploaded room photos are used only to generate the preview and are not used to train any model.
